Relief Projects

Relief

Relief interventions are a set of activities and initiatives carried out by Al-Ghawth Humanitarian Development Association during crises and disasters, aimed at meeting the basic and urgent needs of individuals and communities affected by natural disasters, conflicts, or humanitarian emergencies. They include providing food, shelter, healthcare, water, sanitation, and psychological support, with the goal of saving lives, alleviating suffering, and ensuring temporary stability.

Cash transfers and financial assistance

Providing direct financial support to affected families in Lebanon through cash transfers that help them meet their daily needs, pay rent to secure housing, and use voucher programs to obtain essential goods, thereby ensuring the enhancement of their stability and improving their living conditions during crises.

Rapid disaster response

It involves developing disaster response capacities in Lebanon through trained emergency teams that intervene immediately when crises occur, assessing damages and needs in affected areas, and coordinating with government bodies and international organizations to ensure rapid and effective assistance while protecting the affected communities.

Psychological and social support

Psychological release is the process of expressing thoughts and emotions to relieve mental stress that negatively affects psychological health. Art therapy is one of the therapeutic methods aimed at self-exploration, improving self-image, emotional expression and release, enhancing social interaction, and fostering creative expression.

Water and Sanitation

The project involves providing clean drinking water to needy families in Lebanon, improving water networks, and supplying basic hygiene necessities. It aims to promote public health and create a safe and stable environment that protects families from water-related diseases and poor sanitation.

Shelter and Housing

The project aims to improve the living conditions of needy and affected families in Lebanon by providing temporary shelter, repairing or rebuilding damaged homes, and supplying essential items such as bedding, blankets, and cooking utensils to ensure a safe and healthy environment for families and protect them from the risks of uninhabitable housing.

Food relief

Food relief is a humanitarian initiative to support poor and refugee families in Lebanon by providing their daily basic needs, including food, bread, and clean drinking water. The project includes distributing food parcels that help the most vulnerable families access sufficient and nutritious food. It also contributes to alleviating living burdens and upholding human dignity under difficult circumstances.

Healthcare

Healthcare is a set of services and measures taken to preserve the health of orphans and those in need, whether preventive, therapeutic, or rehabilitative. Healthcare includes providing medical care, promoting health, preventing diseases, offering treatment and care for patients, and rehabilitation.
